wITCH sCRIPT tIPS - wRITE IN tHEBAN
There are a lot of things that we tend to forget about or we simply just don't pay attention to at all as we progress upon our path. I've been instructed a lot lately to get back to some basics and read through some of my old book of shadows. While I was reading and going through old books I came across the Theban Alphabet which inspired me to write this.
The Theban alphabet is a writing system with unknown origins which first came into publication in the 16th century. - Wiki
Remember when you write in theban, visualize those magical practitioners who used it before you and all those who use it now, connect with that power and use to to infuse your work with more potency! Do you use Theban in your craft? How do you incorporate it into your magick?

The Circle of Arte (also referred to as a triangle of manifestation or circle of conjuration) is a magickal circle used by traditional witches as well as ceremonial magicians to conjure/invoke/summon spirits/demons and entraps them in order to obtain control and have them do the practitioner’s bidding. There are many from the old grimoires that would fit this description but just for my personal reference when I speak of the Circle of Arte I am referring to the Tetragrammaton circle also known as The Hexagram of Solomon. Now to the part where I explain myself before moving forward. I, Nimbus, Do not summon/conjure/invoke spirits or demons to control them. Granted, there are many spirits that I may invoke in order to work with them but there is freewill for both the spirit and myself and a deal and exchange for services is rendered. Remember, Don’t Be Stupid, if it is out of your range of practice and comfort zone it is probably not best to summon what you do not understand. I am a Witch, therefore I don’t go poking in the ceremonial magick realm often but the fact is that within the mantle of Traditional Witchcraft there is often a pull from ceremonial magick and Abrahamic mysticism. Within the Circle of Arte there is the word Tetragrammaton which is said to spell one of the names of the God of Abraham. Therefore Tetragrammaton translates to YHWH or Yahweh. It is said that the spelling of God’s name within the circle is what gives its potency, mimicking the greatest power that God has, Creation. So the circle for many years has been used in this way and for just that, Creation. It is employed to conjure/summon, contain spirits, cook or brew magickal creations, protect, to birth sympathetic representations, and creating familiar spirit, home spirit, or fetch houses. There are many ways that I employ the Circle of Arte and it is incredibly beneficial to the Witch as a tool of power. The Circle can be drawn in a number of ways some like the one in the above picture or these other two examples :
*Drawing a Circle of Arte upon ones working Altar for permanent use is super useful. When creating an oil, powder, incense, blend, or any other formula the Circle of Arte acts as a spiritual nexus of the witch’s power and can finish “brewing” the formula so that the formula not only contain its creators energy but it is also boosted by the power of the Circle and the Circle aids the formula in becoming one spirit rather than a mix of different herb, crystal, and curio spirits.
*The Circle of Arte is a potent protection tool. Drawing the circle upon anything will give that person, place, or thing increased protection. Programming the Circle with your exact intention for the protection will only increase its potency. A sympathetic representation can be placed within a drawn Circle to achieve the power of its protection as well. I love to add protection herbs and for some reason (I haven’t totally figured this out yet, lol) but The Circle of Arte loves to work with crystals so adding protective crystals to the outer points of the Circle of Arte will program the Circle in amazing ways!!
*Creation of Spirit houses is incredibly important. If you have a pesky spirit that likes to mess with you in your home and you can’t seem to get it to leave it may just simply like it there and banishing is not always the answer. You can give this spirit a home, food, and offerings and what was once a pest can turn into a powerful ally to you. In this case it is important to give that spirit a residence within your home. Spirit houses are made out of so many different vessels: Shoeboxes, jars, bottles, oil lamps (yes a reference to Genie in a bottle or Rubbing the magic lamp is speaking of a spirit house), wind chimes, and the list goes on and on. Once you have found your vessel, placing it upon a Drawn Circle of Arte and inviting the spirit to enter the vessel will give you a time to explain to the spirit that this is now its home within your residence and gives you a chance to charge this vessel upon the Circle so that it fits the needs of the spirit. During this process get to know the spirit and its likes and dislikes what it would like as food and anything else it might require. When the spirit is happy and content and okay with their new residence you can place the vessel anywhere within your home that suits you and the spirit. Also many times familiar spirits will like a residence as well, familiars seem to like the Circle as a place to be fed and for some R&R.
*Most often I use the Circle of Arte to sympathetically bind the essence of something to its representation when I am working Sympathetic magick. The Circle is excellent for birthing the representation to life with the essence of the physical target. When I do this, I place the representation within the Circle and I push my consciousness out toward the physical target, I then pull essence from the target and I pull it all the way back to the Circle and place it there. I then place the essence within the representation and use the power of the Circle to birth it to life. Amazingly powerful rite, if I do say so myself!
*As for The Circle of Arte and as it relates to summoning, I’ll leave that up to and your personal research and range of practice.
I hope you have enjoyed this How To on Employing the Circle of Arte and would love your Feedback! Let us know of any "How To" posts you would like to see from us. Stay Deviant!

This is a yummy oil to work with! It is from an evergreen tree with green, spear-shaped leaves bearing orange fruit! So when working magically with this bad boy take the evergreen essence into consideration.
So let's talk about both the wonderful Mundane and Spiritual properties of Orange Essential Oil! And please remember, when you are using any essential oil in your Witchery, pay attention to its mundane influences as well. Sometimes the Mundane influences aid you in understanding how you will interact with it on a metaphysical or spiritual level.
It is a Tonic for the skin so this beauty is absolutely useful for wrinkles, dry skin, oily skin, dermatitis, and acne! How would you apply this to your witchery? Knowing it is great for the skin you can definitely add this to a glamour, you can work with this to bring beauty, in anti-aging work... You can work with this to smooth out ruffles, to smooth out challenges, or rough roads...
This offers beneficial energy to indigestion, IBS, Gas, constipation, and diarrhea. This literally can be used in malediction work to curse someone with 'the shits'... Or it can even be used to block someone up, to stop something from happening, to get rid of too much 'air' energy and really it can be used to help situations to run smoothly. To bring relief from a rough experience.
